The Sacrament of Holy Communion
We read in the gospels that Jesus met in the Upper Room with His twelve disciples to share the Passover meal. Luke tells us that Jesus,

"...took a loaf of bread; and when he had thanked God for it, he broke it in pieces and gave it to his disciples, saying, 'This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.' After supper he took another cup of wine and said, 'This wine is the token of God's new covenant to save you, an agreement sealed with the blood I will pour out to you.'"
                                               (Luke 22:19-20; NLT)

We share the bread and drink the cup recognizing and symbolizing that Christ's body was broken and His blood shed for us personally. The Lord's table, at EOCC, is open to all.

10:00 A.M. Traditional Worship Service: communion is offered the first Sunday of each month.

6:00 P.M. Wednesday Evening Vespers Worship Service: communion by intinction is offered at each service
